People should know SJS is steven's johnson's syndrome, it's like having 3rd degree burns...your skin literally sloughs off... motrin CAN cause steven's johnson syndrome, so can antibiotics. the reason we are told NOT to take motrin/ASA/advil or ibuprofen is because it can cause gastric distress and a bleeding ulcer. what he experienced is an allergic reaction, he probably would have suffered from it even without gastric bypass, most likely NOT related! i'll post a vid later! ily xxoo~nicole. thanx!! @SOFIA

Has the FDA addressed SeptraDS in 2010? If not, why haven't they. They do not respond to letters etc.

my mom almost died over this s.j.s. syndrome in portland oregon at the burn center, over a contrast dye injection, and faulty hospitol care and attention to this serious condition which has taken several lives as of today, we need attorneys to take on more class action lawsuits against the hospitols and pharmacy and drug companies, asap

I was diagnosed with SJS just late last year and still have permanent scarring over my entire body as well as permament eye sight loss...I am now seeking punitve damages.

hello! this is spunkyrachel! i was googling spunkyrachel and this is where it led me. i am very surprised and happy to discover that someone took the time to tell my story. it really means alot to me.
i am doing pretty good considering....i have been very depressed, but i have been to a doctor and he put me on some" happy pills"! lol! he said that i have situational depression. i have decided to also go to counseling that will be starting soon.
i got so depressed that i was actually thinking of taking life! can you beleive that!? sounds stupid right? after everything that i have been through and how hard i fought to be here! it's crazy! i knew that i was getting depressed, but i thought that i would pass and that i would just get over it,but it only got worse.
i am happy to say that i am much better now! and i look forward to what life has to offer me. it can only get better from here.

Overcomming something like this is to say the least miraculous, however knowing Kim for many years I can't help thinking that if there was anyone that could beat it it would be her. Kim has, well, to say the least the stubborness and will to achieve pretty much anything she puts her mind to. I would just like to wish Kim, Hunter, Shauna and the rest of the Oake family all my best.
